Psychological Assessment
A psychological assessment is utilized to see what is happening in a patient’s psychological life that may be inhibiting their ability to flourish. An assessment usually consists of an interview and a formal assessment consisting of norm-referenced measures. Measures are administered and can provide or assist in the diagnosis of many issues:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Psychological disorders (Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, eating disorders)
- Personality disorders (Borderline, Obsessive-Compulsive, Dependent, Paranoid Personality Disorder)
- Bariatric surgery (pre/post-surgical assessment)
